Yes, this is for real. It’s not the first time that legendary hip-hop producer Just Blaze has stepped into the world of house music, as he’s remixed both Cajmere’s “Brighter Days” and Justice’s “D.A.N.C.E.” in year’s past, but this is by far his greatest work yet. Soulful deep house reworking loosely based around Jay Electronica’s “Exhibit A”, which in turn is an interpolation of Ahmad Jamal’s “Swahililand”, better known as the backdrop for De La Soul’s “Stakes Is High”. Either way, we’re looking forward to hearing more.
Update: Just says there’s no “Swahililand” in there. We stand corrected!
