While Calvin Harris has had no problems moving millions in single track sales in the U.S., his full-length album sales have not seen quite the same level of success. But that looks to be changing, with 18 Months‘ entry onto the Billboard chart this week.
Calvin quite easily took the #1 album spot in the U.K. with the release of 18 Months, debuting at #1 with 52,356 copies sold. Here in the U.S., 18 Months opened up this week on the Billboard 200 with 17,000+ sold, entering at #1 on the Dance/Electronic charts. A pale comparison, sure, but a vast improvement since his previous two LP’s, which stateside had never sold more than 2,000 copies in a single week.
