The LA based DJ/Producer RL Grime has spent the last two years building a a sonic space that seems to exist independent of everything around him. His unceasing series of dance staples have dominated the club world since his first remix of Kanye West’s “Mercy.” Today he realizes this unique space fully, with his track “Core” off his forthcoming debut album out this fall on WEDIDIT. “Core” expands on RL’s dark, mysterious sound with genre bending influences that continue to push the electronic dance space forward. The accompanying clip directed by Daniel Swan and David Rudnick (Evian Christ, Tiga, George Fitzgerald) adds vivid imagery to the track’s blaring sirens and hulking beat which, altogether, seem to hint at something monstrous on the horizon.
